Annuals - Tips for Outside Growth
Here are some things you need to know, when considering planting annuals outside.
First their are two kinds of annual, aesthetic, and non-aesthetic. That is, annuals that climb, and annuals that do not. Aesthetic annuals are beautiful on a trellis, around a window or on a fence. Non-aesthetic annuals are very beautiful and can be best put in a flower bed, or pot on your front porch.
Now, for your tips on outdoor growth:
1. Annuals require well-drained soil with a pH level between 6.3 and 6.7.
2. Annuals grow better with organic enhancers. Fertilizers are a must to bring out the best from your annuals. They only grow once, so you might as well ensure that you are getting the best results possible. Slow release fertilizers are the best to use for annuals, since they are easier to facilitate.
3. You have to space your seeds correctly. Placing them too close together would only make them compete for the necessary nutrients for their growth. Annuals do not grow well when crowded; they need some room to fully mature. But the space between the seeds should not be far apart, especially when you want to make your annuals the focal point of your garden.
4. Avoid overhead watering. Some annuals may be destroyed, since they have more delicate bodies than other flowers.
And there’s a few tips to get you started growing your Annuals. Enjoy them! And let us know how they work for you!
